Rat Tail Cactus is an easy, low maintenance plant to grow in a very bright location! Bright, direct light - south or west facing window. Water during the growing season when the top 2-3" of soil drys to the touch but allow to fully dry out during the winter months. Drought tolerant plants. Thrives in normal room temperatures but on the cool side during the winter. Use a succulent/cactus potting mix that is well draining. No need to fertilize on a regular basis. Pet Friendly but the numerous spines can be harmful if ingested. Pink, red or orange flowers during the summer months.
