Philodendron vines work great in hanging baskets and decorative macrame. They will adapt too low light but thrive with Eastern exposure. For higher light situations - consider adding a sheer white curtain to the window to protect the leaves from getting a bleached look. Philodendron vines can become thin at the top and lush towards the bottom of the vine. You can easily root cuttings and plant back into the pot or start a new plant. Keep the soil evenly moist for strong growth, if they dry out leaves will look droopy and dull until watered again. Philodendrons are perfect for beginners and can last for several years.
