Ficus 'Tineke' makes a bold statement with the variegated leaves in shades of deep green, silver, gold and hues of pink. Ideal placed near an East of South window with a sheer curtain. Avoid direct sunlight so you don't burn the leaves. Water when the top 1-2" of soil is dry to the touch. Make sure the soil is well drained and the pot isn't sitting in standing water. Dropping leaves may be a sign of overwatering or sudden environmental changes. Normal home temperatures and humidity are perfect for Rubber Plants. Keep the leaves dust free and avoid sudden temperature changes. Repot with an organic, well-draining potting mix. Fertilize with an all purpose, organic fertilizer during the growing season. Ficus elastica has an upright, tree-like growth habit and can reach 6-10 feet indoors. You can prune to encourage branching and rotate regularly for even growth. Toxic to Pets.
