Philodendron mayoi is a fast growing climber native to the rainforests of Brazil.  The young simple leaves mature into dramatic deeply lobed, palm like leaves creating a little bit of rainforest for your home!

🔆 Provide bright, indirect light from an east or west window or grow lights. More vigorous growth, better variegation, and a more compact shape with better light. 

💦 Water when the soil is approaching dryness but before it is dusty dry. Water thoroughly by pouring water through the soil from the top or by setting the pot in a dish of water for a few minutes. Let the water drain completely before putting the plant back. 

🌡️Philodendrons appreciate extra humidity, but don’t require it. Group several plants together or use a humidifier. Average household temperatures are perfect. Protect from sustained temperatures below 50. Keep away from drafty locations and chilly windows in the winter.

🪴 Use a well-drained but moisture retentive houseplant potting mix with coarse drainage elements like perlite or orchid bark.

🌸 Fertilize during the growing season with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer rich in nitrogen.
