Imagine these large, (4-5") rosy-chocolate-colored blossoms fluttering over an arbor or trellis against the sparkling blue sky! These Japanese morning glories are not only known for their rich color, but also for their beautiful, and often variegated, green and white foliage. Charming in any setting. A vigorous vine to 10', blooming midsummer to frost. Grown as an annual, although perennial in Zones 10 and warmer. Deer resistant. Caution: Most parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested. Sow outdoors 1-2 weeks after your average last frost date. Plants started too early outside will end up less vigorous than plants stared when warmer.
