A deer proof perennial with fragrant leaves and showy, long-blooming, purple-red flowers that are adored by pollinators. This is a compact variety that starts flowering earlier than other Monardas. Very good disease resistance and thrives anywhere with constant moisture and good air circulation. Grows to be 10-12" tall and 8-10" wide in full sun to part shade. Zone 4-8 hardy.
