Crocus Orange Monarch | Single Bulbs

Deep golden-orange flowers with bronze striping on the outside petals, these beauties shoot up out of the ground in very early spring. Plants growing up to 3" tall will give a spectacular show with tons of flowers and are great naturalizers. Crocus are easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant the top of the bulb 2" below the soil level and space bulbs 3" apart. They are extremely hardy and will even bloom during a snowstorm! Great for rock gardens, good for borders and beds. Grass-like foliage surrounds this chalice shaped flower. This early spring bloomer gets more prolific each year.

Plant 'Orange Monarch' corms in fall, ideally from late September through mid-November, allowing them to establish before winter. Position bulbs approximately 2 inches deep in well-drained soil, spacing them to achieve about 15 bulbs per square foot for optimal visual impact. They thrive in full sun to partial shade locations and perform beautifully under deciduous trees, in rock gardens, along walkways, or naturalized in lawns. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally to ensure strong returns in subsequent years.
