Heirloom. With dazzling, sky-blue flowers, 'Blue Boy' is wonderful in mass and because it is drought tolerant, it's practically care-free. Flowers can be used dried or fresh cut, while the edible petals make a colorful garnish. Also known as cornflower, bachelor's button will "naturalize", or self-sow, for another crop of blue flowers next year. Deer Resistant. Recommenced to sow outside 1 to 2 weeks before your average last frost date, or in late summer/fall for blooms the following season. For optimum germination, chill seed in the refrigerator for 5 days before sowing.
