An uncommon but great tropical houseplant with dark green foliage. Great for desk tops, shelves or end tables when young and the perfect floor plant when mature. If Ardisia receive enough light, they will produce small pink or white flowers. Medium to bright light - try an east or south window with a sheer curtain. Like most tropical plants, Ardisia is humidity lover - set on a pebble tray, mist regularly or place near a humidifier. Water when the top 1-2" of soil drys to the touch - if sitting in more light be sure to check soil more often. Fertilize during the growing months with a balanced organic fertilizer to encourage lush green growth. Not pet friendly, but a good air purifier!
