Amaryllis hippeastrum 'La Paz' reaches 18 to 24 inches tall and features graceful and eye-catching blooms. A departure from a classic Amaryllis look, Narrow, almost 'spidery', frilly edged flowers with dark coral-red upper petals provide a beautiful contrast with its pale lime-green lower petals, edged in coral and a starburst green throat. Each bulb produces two to three strong stems, with four to six (5 inch) blossoms per stem, blooming 6 to 10 weeks after planting. A great holiday gift, the unique 'La Paz' will bring a departure from a classic Amaryllis look plus a striking and long-lasting display to any home! Planting Instructions: Put 2" of potting soil in a pot at least 6" in diameter. Set amaryllis bulb in the pot and spread out the roots (be cautious not to damage roots). Gently pack more potting soil between the roots and around the bulbs covering 2/3 of the bulb and leaving 1/3 of the bulb above the soil line. Provide plenty of bright light. Watering: Water once with lukewarm water when you first pot your amaryllis, then sparingly until you see the tip of the bud appear. Then water once a week being careful not to over water. Not pet safe.
