Fertilize your air plants once per month. Water them without fertilizer the other weeks. Do not put your air plants in soil or let them remain wet for extended periods of time. Air plants get their nutrients through their leaves, not their roots. Provide bright but indirect light. Indirect sunlight is best but bright indoor lighting is also sufficient. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of fertilizer with one gallon of water. Soak your air plants in the mixture for 20-30 minutes. If your plants are attached to something you can spray them with the fertilizer mixture. Make sure the mixture is thoroughly diluted before soaking or spraying your air plants.
