Senecio peregrinus / Curio x peregrinus commonly called String of Dolphins is a unique trailing succulent know for its dolphin-shaped leaves. An easy care houseplant perfect for hanging baskets, sunny shelves and bright south facing windowsills. Place in a bright, sunny window with a light curtain for an ideal location. Too little light will cause leggy growth and too much afternoon sun will cause sun scorch on the leaves. Like most succulents, String of Dolphins prefer infrequent watering, let the soil dry completely in between waterings. Overwatering will cause root rot - be sure to empty saucers as well. Use a well-draining potting soil like a cactus/succulent mix. A pot with drainage is best. For a healthy String of Dolphins keep indoor temperatures between 65-80℉ with normal humidity. Fertilize lightly during the growing season using a liquid succulent fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength once a month. Trim the draping stems occasionally to encourage fuller growth. Propagate easily from cuttings.
