These gorgeous squashes-tipping the scales at up to 20 pounds-look like wheels of cheese, and ripen from green to burnt Sienna. Deep-orange flesh is dense and of superb table quality with a very long shelf life. This historic cheese pumpkin, also called Potion Bonze de Montlhery, hails from the South of France and was available in the United States as early as 1895 from Vaughan's Seed Store in Chicago.
