Very large 6-7" silvery mauve flowers, giving a most unusual color clematis. Flowers have a creamy-white anthers, and the 6-8petals overlap, making a very full flower. Bloom June, July and late August. Does well in full to partial shade. Grows 8-10' tall. USDA Zone 4 Hardy. Pruning type 2. Shade roots to keep soil cool and moist. Keep well-watered until established, then water weekly during dry spells.
