Blood-red blooms look like tiny birds along upright stems. A late summer bloomer and native perennial is a hummingbird magnet. Loves moist soil along creeks and ponds or in rain gardens, bur will do fine in regular garden soil if you keep it well watered. H 36". Zone 4 hardy.
