flowers have 6-8 base petals that are almost bronze, tinged with green and a darker bar. Inner petals are lilac-colored with a pink bar. As the flower ages, the base petals fall away, giving a pompon effect. Pruning type 2. Blooms June to August in full sun to part shade. Grows to 8' tall. Shade roots to keep soil cool and moist. Water 2-3 times per week until established. Water weekly during dry spells. USDA Zone 3 Hardy.
