The Hemigraphis 'Exotica' or the 'Purple Waffle Plant' features unique, deep green textured foliage with vibrant purple undersides, adding a pop of color to any indoor space. This easy-care plant thrives in bright, indirect light (too much light will fade the leaves and too little will lessen its beautiful purple tone). Happiest with moderately moist soil, regular watering is important but be careful not to waterlog the roots. Purple Waffle Plant thrives with humidity, so place near other plants, use a pebble tray or humidifier especially during our dry winter months. If you prefer a bushier plant, pinch the tips of your waffle plant (just above a leaf, stem or bud) whenever the plant shoots up new growth. Pet friendly!
