Easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Heirloom bulb since 1594, excellent naturalizer, great for rock gardens and good for borders and beds. Also called Summer Snowflakes, plant a large number of bulbs in clusters to create a dramatic effect. Plant top of bulb 5" below soil line and 12 bulbs per square foot. Mounds of green foliage support arching chalice-shaped flowers in late spring. Grow to a height of 14-16".
