One of the easiest ferns to grow, the Rabbit's Foot fern features lacy, graceful fronds and makes a lovely addition to any decor. But Rabbit's Foot is probably best known for its furry brown and yellow rhizomes. Resembling a rabbit's foot, these rhizomes cascade over the edge of the pot and will eventually grow fronds at intervals. Cutting 2 to 3 inches of a rhizome tip, with 1 or 2 fronds still attached, can be used to propagate a new plant! Although tolerant of lower humidity, Rabbit's Foot will be happiest with a pebble tray or a nearby humidifier. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged; water thoroughly when the top 1/2 inch of soil is dry. Use a balanced fertilizer during the spring and summer months. Provide plenty of bright, indirect light. Pet Friendly
