This cucumber lives up to its name, producing dark-green, petite, slender (5" long and 1-1 1/2" wide), think-skinned fruits well-suited for pickling, eating fresh, and tossing in salads. Pick young and keep the plant harvested to encourage cucumber production throughout the season. This variety was selected from Chicago Pickling by J.C. Snow of the famous Snow Pickle Farm in Rockford. Illinois. Listed circa 1905 by Vaughan seed house of Chicago. 50-60 days.
