Calatheas are grown for their beautiful and unique leaf variations. They are also closely related to the Maranta or prayer plant family and require similar care. They prefer to be away from direct rays of sun, need high air humidity, placed away from drafts and extra warmth in the winter - sounds just like me! Calatheas are great plants when you place them in a lower light spot. Water when slightly dry with distilled water or let your water sit out overnight. Mist the leaves on the regular or have a humidifier nearby. Repot every 2 years in the spring. Photo may not reflect actual plant. Non-toxic to pets.
