Calandiva are an easy, low maintenance blooming succulent. Known for their long blooming, double flowers, Calandiva make great gifts and bring cheer with their colorful blooms. Related to the Kalanchoe, Calandiva requires similar care. Bright, indirect light to direct light is best for optimum blooming. A sunny South or West facing window is perfect. Allow soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, and let drain completely out the bottom to prevent root rot. Remove spent flowers and continue regular care. Fertilize with an organic blooming fertilizer for repeat flowers. Toxic to pets.
